Derek Jeter Passes Cap Anson for Sixth Place on MLB's All-Time Hits List (8/17/2014)

Last night (8/17/2014), New York Yankees captain and future Hall of Famer, Derek Jeter recorded the 3,436th hit of his career. With the hit, Jeter passed Adrian Constantine (Cap) Anson for sixth place on Major League Baseball's All-Time Hits Leaders. The hit came off of Rays starter, Jeremy Hellickson during the fifth inning of the Rays-Yankees game at Tropicana Field. The Yankees won the game by a score of 4-2.
