Own a Piece of the Daytona International Speedway

Since it's opening in 1959, the Daytona International Speedway (DIS) has been the ultimate destination for NASCAR fans. In July 2013, the International Speedway Corporation started a $400 million reconstruction project called "Daytona Rising" that will drop the seating capacity from 147,000 to 101,000. They will also double the number of restrooms and triple the number of concession stands. The reconstructed stadium will be equipped with more spacious and comfortable seating while bringing fans closer to the race itself. The project is expected to take about two and a half years and is scheduled to be completed just in time for the running of the 2016 Daytona 500.

Ever since the project began, die-hard NASCAR fans have been asking themselves one question, "What are they doing with those old seats?" Answer: In an agreement with Fanatics Authentics, the old grandstand seats are being removed and are being sold directly to the public. There are over twenty different seating options to choose from. Pricing starts at $249.95 for a generic silver bottom metal chair and go up to $659.95 for a specifically numbered dual-seat set with a wood bottom and two NASCAR display cases.

The seats won't be available until September, 2014 but they will surely be a huge hit. ACT FAST IF YOU WANT SPECIFIC SEAT NUMBERS. Checkout the NASCAR Daytona Rising Collection at Fanatics.com to make your purchase and bring home a piece of NASCAR history!
