John Elway Autograph Signing Denver Broncos August 2013

In late August 2013, Denver Autographs will participate in a private autograph signing for Denver Broncos Class of 2004 Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback, John Elway.

John Elway played 16 NFL seasons with the Denver Broncos. He played in nine Pro Bowls and was the league's Most Valuable Player in 1987. Elway is perhaps most known for becoming the first quarterback to play in five Super Bowls. By the time Elway was 30 years old, he had been on the loosing end of three very one-sided Super Bowls, including a 55-10 route from the San Francisco 49ers.

It would be eight years later and in the twilight of his career when the Broncos defeated the Packers in Super Bowl XXXII. In the third quarter of Super Bowl XXXII, with the scored tied at 17, Elway made the most famous play of his career. On third down, Elway scrambled for eight yards to pick up a first down to keep the drive going. He was hit be two Packers defenders, spinning him around in what has been called the "Helicopter Dive." After the game, owner Pat Bowlan hoisted the Lombardi Trophy and said, "This One's For John." Elway returned for one more season in 1998 and led the Broncos to another championship over the Atlanta Falcons. Elwy won Super Bowl MVP honors and retired just a few months later. He was elected into the Hall of Fame during his first year of eligibility.
