San Francisco Giants complete comeback to win the NLCS. They are going to the 2012 World Series

For the second time in in two years, the San Francisco Giants are going to the World Series. They beat the St. Louis Cardinals tonight in Game 7 of the 2012 NLCS by a final score of 9-0. They became the seventh team to erase a 3-1 League Championship Series deficit. Marco Scutaro was named 2012 NLCS MVP.

This is the 19th time the New York/ San Francisco Giants have made it to the World Series, which is second to only the New York Yankees. It's their 5th appearance since moving to the west coast in 1958.

They will face the American League Champion, Detroit Tigers. Game 1 of the 2012 World Series starts on Wednesday, October 24th at 8:00pm.
