In a much anticipated move, the Milwaukee Brewers have traded their staff ace, Zack Greinke. He's going to the Los Angeles LA Angles in exchange for three the Angels prospects; shortstop Jean Segura and pitchers Johnny Hellweg and Ariel Pena.
Segura is was regarded as the 2nd best prospect in the Angels system (behind Mike Trout) and #55 in Baseball America's 2012 Top 100 Prospects and also played in the 2012 MLB All-Star Futures Game. Hellweg and Pena are also also among the Angels Top 10 Minor League Prospects.
Greinke won the 2009 American League Cy Young Award when he was with the Kansas City Royals. He is scheduled to make is first start on Sunday.
