ESPN reported that Miami Heat forward, LeBron James has won his third NBA's Most Valuable Player Award. The official announcement from the Associated Press is scheduled for tomorrow. Lebron won the award in 2008-2009 and again in 2009-2010 as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers. This year's award comes during his second season with the Miami Heat.
Three Time NBA MVPs are pretty hard to come by. He joins the likes of Bill Russell, Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, Moses Malone, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Kareem-Abdul Jabbar as the only players to win at least three MVP awards. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar holds the All-Time record with 6 awards, Michael Jordan and Bill Russell are tied for second place with 5 awards. For what it is worth, Kobe Bryant has one.
