Bryce Harper Hits First Career Home Run 5/14/2012

Washington Nationals prized rookie outfielder, Bryce Harper hit his very first career home run last night. He slammed an 87 mph slider off of San Diego Padres pitcher, Tim Stauffer over the centerfield wall (402 feet) at Nationals Park. His solo shot was part of a three-run third inning that helped stark the Nationals to a 8-5 victory over the Padres. He received a standing ovation from the 19,434 fans in attendance. After many congratulations from his teammates, he acknowledged the crowd with a curtain call. Nats fans should get used to seeing this.
