On Tuesday, March 3, 2015, Steiner Sports will host a public autograph signing for Detroit Lions Class of 2004 Pro Football Hall of Fame running back, Barry Sanders. The signing will take place at their store inside the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, New York.
Barry Sanders has a permanent spot in the argument for the "Greatest Running Back of All-Time." He spent his first two years of college football as Thurman Thomas' backup for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. In 1988, Thomas was drafted by the Bills Sanders became the Cowboys starting running back. During his one year as a starter, Sanders exploded for greatest single-season any college running back has ever had. He led the nation with 2,628 rushing yards and 37 rushing touchdowns on his way to winning the Heisman Trophy. Sanders was drafted by the Detroit Lions with the third pick of the 1989 NFL Draft and had an immediate impact on the NFL. He rushed for 1,470 yards and 14 touchdowns during his rookie season and was selected to his first NFL Pro Bowl. In 1991, Sanders won the NFL Most valuable Player Award after scoring 17 TDs and leading the Lions to the NFC Championship Game. In 1997, Sanders became just the third player in NFL history to rush for over 2,000 yards in a single season. During his 10 years with the Lions, Sanders made 10 Pro Bowls, scored 109 TDs (99 Rush, 10 Rec) and won four NFL Rushing Titles. Barry's 15,269 career rushing yards is the third highest total in NFL history.

Steiner Sports prepares a notarized affidavit for every autograph signing. The affidavit records the date, location and details about the items signed. The document is signed by BOTH the athlete AND a Steiner Sports rep before being secured within the Steiner Sports main offices in New Rochelle, New York.
